As a current student in my Masters in Urban Planning at IUAV in Venice, I have been able expand on the knowledge obtained during my Bachelor of Architecture at Jefferson University in Philadelphia. My academic journey has allowed me to explore the complex relationships between people, public space, and the built environment and has deepened my understanding of how urban spaces shape human interactions and, in turn, how they are shaped by social, economic, and environmental factors.

With a strong interest in sustainable design, my work focuses on understanding the risks associated with climate change, and designing solutions adapted to the challenges of climate change, ensuring more resilient and inclusive urban environments. By bridging architecture and urban planning, I work across small and large scales to contribute to innovative, human-centered solutions that transform spaces for a more sustainable future.

Having studied and lived in a variety of locations has given me a comparative perspective on urban development and community needs, allowing me to better understand societal values and how they shape interactions in the built environment. By understanding these differences, I am able to develop more adaptive and inclusive strategies that respond to a unique set of needs.

Additionally involvement in groups outside of an academic setting allows me to experience life and different cultural habits on a daily basis.  My involvement in Sant'Elena provides me with an additional view of the city of Venice and how life is impacted by the urban environment.  The experience of playing sports while surrounded by water provides me with a unique understanding of how people truly adapt to fit their surroundings and how, as a result, they are able to adapt the urban environment to provide them with the spaces they need.
